Macro Hydrangeas

I've been playing with the macro feature on my new-since-Christmas camera and the budding hydrangea. Pretty cool, I think.

Micah's School Pictures

Micah's school pictures were done at the pumpkin patch this year. These are the proofs. They are pretty sweet, but I kind of like the ones I took better. Do you have a favorite? I'm trying to decide which (if any) I should order.

Adventures with a Pink Camera

I just never know what I'll find when I upload pictures off of Gabi's camera. Here are her shots of her brother, the backyard, and a trip to the state park visitors center with her dad.

Bloomin' Backyard

After being sick most of the week, Micah is finally up and around, running in the backyard again.

I have several things blooming right now. I must say that Gabi, Micah, and I grew all of these from seeds. We're so proud of our little garden. I have to get close-ups though so you don't see the weeds.



Micah was so delighted when he saw this flower. He cried out, "Blue!" (his favorite color.) He immediately picked it and gave it to his sweetheart:
These are our morning glories that are growing on the chain link fence. It's never looked so pretty!

Pink Ladybug on the Lilies

There was the prettiest pink ladybug on the lily when I was watering, so I ran in and grabbed my camera.




And here's a pic of our tomatoes growing, just for good measure. Gabi feels like a real farmer and can't wait to eat them.

Kidtographer at the Zoo

Gabi has been having a great time with her new pink camera. We took it (and her and her brother) to the zoo today. She is getting pretty good at catching a shot. Blake helped her some and I only photoshopped a teeny tiny bit. Oh, she also caught our own wild cats at home.

I bet you can't even pick Gabi out amongst all the pink flamingos....

This is a Sun Bear named Kasey. He seemed to like Gabi.

The baby gorilla is so very cute!
