Pre-K Program

Micah's pre-K classes did a wonderful spring program. This picture is them all lined up in their uniforms for the daytime performance for the school and the video is from the evening performance. Micah is in the middle of the front row.

Soccer & Cat Herding

Getting five year olds to play soccer seems a bit like herding cats, and getting them to pose for a team picture is even more so! See how Micah stays really engaged in watching his team when he's out of the game?
They did get a god picture of the team, though-- this is just my snapshot; I will scan and upload the official soccer pics soon.

World of the Pharaohs

We went last week to the art museum for the ancient Egypt exhibit. The kids, especially Micah, had been begging to go to see a real mummy. We enjoyed it, and yes- we ended up coming home with the pharaoh headdress. Micah is convinced the mummies get up and walk around the museum at night. :)

Easter

Tulipier

I told you the tulip fun had only just begun! The yard keeps getting tulipier and tulipier.

Or would the correct term be "more tulipy"?

Eggstra Eggstra, Read All About It

It's Easter egg time! We broke out the dye and all sat down to make some pretties. Blake always gets into the egg dye process. They made some cool, bright colored eggs this year.

And check our new egg cups! The kids glazed these at spring break Bible school and we fired them in the church kiln. (Yes, our church has a kiln! Awesomeness!)

Flash Jr.

Micah got some birthday money so we headed to our favorite local toy store on a day off school. Guess what he found? An awesome cape!! He has a blue cape but it was getting a little short for him since Gramzy made it when he was two. And this one.... makes him run as fast as lightening!!!

Field Trip

Micah had his very first school field trip this week. His class walked to a park for a picnic and egg hunt. I wasn't able to chaperone this time, but a friend (Katherine-with-the-big-red-bow's mom) sent me these pictures of Micah. He was very proud to show her how he goes down the pole at the park.
