Empty Nesters

We've got an empty nest! The two little robins had grown so much they barely fit in the nest together anymore, so we knew it was coming... but when one hopped out while I was watering their flower basket I was quite surprised! I was worried I had scared it into leaving the nest too soon, but its sibling joined in the freedom today. So I guess they were ready. We had a lot of fun watching them grow. Maybe I'll be able to catch them in the yard when I've got my camera someday soon!

Mud Party

Happy Birthday, Jessie Drew! Today there was a messy celebration about being 6 at the Elf Haven Mud Farm. Check out the Micah, King of the Mud Mountain, or maybe Prince of the Puddle. Gabi wasn't too much of a muddy fuddy duddy and loved yelling, "Spray me, Untle Neal!" from the top of the dirt pile.

A sprinkle of summer fun....

We ran through the sprinkler today! Drippy fun was had by all, and the flower bed enjoyed the sprinkle, too.

Robin Watch Update

The robin babies are growing quickly! These 2 pics are from Thursday, June 15.

Monday Again- it's been a week since I updated! (6/12). Before we left for a grandparent visit last wednesday, all 3 birdies had hatched, but when we came back there were jsut 2 in the nest. Who knows why. But the two survivors are doing pretty good, changing quickly.













Tuesday: 2 eggs have hatched! Daddy Robin had come to check them out. When I peered in the nest they opened their mouths, but apparently the camera didn't seem like a food-provider, so
the pic is all fluff:
